Issues and concerns that may not have been previously observed may now be apparent and reported. We keep a frozen cup of water with a coin resting on top of the ice in your freezer. If the coin is found sunken into the ice, the unit lost power long enough for the contents to thaw and refreeze, and the food should be discarded.
